What it was all about...

Petition to Queen Elizabeth II

The planned protest is to support a US$14-trillion lawsuit by the Hindu
Rights Action Force (Hindraf) against Malaysia's former colonial power for
bringing Indians to Malaysia as indentured labourers and exploiting them for
150 years.

Furthermore, the suit sought a declaration that the Reid Commission Report
1957 failed to incorporate the rights of the Indian community when
independence was granted, resulting in discrimination and marginalisation to
this day.

The quantum being sought is about US$2 million for every Indian currently
residing in Malaysia.

Following the filing of the suit, Hindraf held nationwide roadshows
explaining to grassroots about the case.

Coupled with their work to prevent rampant state-sanctioned demolition of
Hindu temples, Hindraf won over a wave of support for their cause.

Today's memorandum was to petition Queen Elizabeth II to appoint a Queen's
counsel to argue the case on their behalf.

I also want USD 2 Million...

Dear Sirs,

RE: 1. COMMONWEALTH ETHNIC INDIAN PEACE LOVING SUBJECTS IN MALAYSIA PERSECUTED BY GOVERNMENT BACKED ISLAMIC EXTREMIST VIOLENT ARMED TERRORIST WHO LAUNCHED A PRE DAWN VIOLENT ARMED ATTACK AND DESTROYED THE KG JAWA MARIAMAN HINDU TEMPLE AT 4.00 A.M THIS MORNING (15.11.2007).

2. APPEAL FOR U.K TO MOVE EMERGENCY U.N RESOLUTION CONDEMNING “ETHNIC CLEANSING” IN MALAYSIA.

3. APPEAL TO REFER MALAYSIA TO THE WORLD COURT AND INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT FOR CRIMES AGAINST IT’S OWN ETHNIC MINORITY INDIANS.

We refer to the above critical matters in Malaysia but which generally gets the least attention locally even by the Opposition parties, NGO’s, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission and the media for this community is generally regarded as politically insignificant, do not draw local or international funding and are deemed not pressworthy. To the contrary the Malaysian government has successfully projected itself to the world as a modern Islamic thinking country which is not true.

The ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia were brought in to Malaysia by the British some 200 over years ago. Since independence in 1957 the Malaysian Indians have been permanently colonialised by the Islamic fundamentalist and Malay chauvinists UMNO led Malaysian government.

Among the recent atrocities committed by this government are as follows:-

1.100 over Indians were slashed and killed by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government in the Kampung Medan mini genocide. Despite numerous appeals, the Malaysian Human Rights Commission has refused to hold a Public Inquiry. The UMNO controlled Malaysian courts struck off a victim’s public interest civil suit for a Public Inquiry to be held without even the said UMNO controlled government having to file in their defence. The UMNO controlled Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police refused to investigate and / or initiate an inquest into the death of at least six Indians in this tragedy despite.

2. Every week one person at average is killed in a shot to kill policy and in every 2 weeks one person is killed in police custody. About 60% of these victims are Indians though they form only 8% of the Malaysian population.

3. In every three weeks one Hindu temple is demolished in Malaysia.

The latest being the demolishment of the Mariaman temple in Padang Jawa, Shah Alam, Selangor early this morning (15.11.2007) and the next being the (Mutaiya) Hindu temple in Sungai Petani scheduled for the 29.11.2007.

A violent armed pre down attack at 4.00a.m this morning was launched by the UMNO controlled Malaysian government backed by about 600 police, riot police, Islamic extremist and armed terrorists which completely destroyed this temple.

In an attack two weeks ago, uniformed police, riot police and city Council officers hurled rocks and attacked unarmed Hindu devotees with knives, sticks and iron rods.

At least 20 Hindu devotees were seriously injured and 19 arrested including 4 of their United Kingdom trained lawyers in direct violation of Article 5 (Right to life) Article 8 (Equality) Article 11 (Freedom of Religion) Section 295 (defiling a place of worship), Section 296 (disturbing a religious assembly), 298A(causing racial disharmony) and Section 441(criminal trespass) of the Malaysian Penal Code.

These authorities are plagued by an above the law mindset and in fact liberally take the law into their own hands. These atrocities however does not happen to almost all Islamic places of worship. Please visit www.policewatchmalaysia.com for further and better particulars.

4. State sponsored direct discrimination against the Indians in Public University intakes, Indian (Tamil) Schools, skills training institutes, civil service and private sector job opportunities, business and license opportunities and in almost all other aspects of daily life.

Despite our hundreds of letters, appeals and pleas to the Malaysian King and Sultans, the Prime Minister, Attorney General, Inspector General of Police, Ministers, Chief Ministers and the latest being our letters to the Prime Minister dated 29.10.2007 and 30.10.2007 and to the Attorney General dated 1.11.2007 the Malaysian authorities are only proceeding with greater ferocity and with impunity with very little regard for the Federal Constitution and laws of Malaysia. So please help us.

CONCLUSION

We fear that this peace loving Indian community of Tamil origin having been pushed to the corner and the persecution getting worse by the day may be forced to into terrorism in a matter of time as what has happened to the Sri Lankan Tamils.

APPEAL

On our part we are committed to a peaceful and lawful struggle and pray and appeal that the Government of the United Kingdom:-

1. Moves an emergency United Nations resolution condemning these state sponsored atrocities and persecutions of Malaysian Indians in Malaysia.

2. Refers Malaysia to the World Court and the International Criminal Court for Crimes against it’s own ethnic minority Indians

Thank You,

Yours Faithfully

pot? kettle? black???

Excerpt from Berita Harian..

Malaysiakini (6/11/2007): “Don’t be like monkeys (beruk) on streets. If you want to fight, fight in the real ring like a man. At the general elections, we (Umno Youth) will fight and we will win!” exclaimed Khairy to roaring chants of approval from delegates.

Hell?

A man dies and goes to hell. There he finds out that there is
a different hell for each country.

He goes to the German hell and asks,
"what do they do here?"

He is told, " First we put you in an electric chair for an hour.
Then we lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then
a German devil comes and beats you for the rest of the day."

The mean does not like the sound of that at all, so he moves
on and checks out the USA hell as well as the Russian hell and
many other countries. He discovers that they are more or less
the same as the German hell. THen he comes to the Malaysian
hell and finds that there is a long line of people waiting to get in.

Amazed, he asks someone in the line
"what do they do here?"

He is told
"first, they put you in an electric chair for an hour, then they lay
you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the Malaysian
devil comes and beast you for the rest of the day."

"But that is exactly the same as all the other hells, so why are
som many people waiting to get in here?" asks the man

"because the maintenance is so bad, it leaks and the fires goes
out, the electric chair does not work, to extract the metal
someone has stolen all the nails from the bed ; and the
Malaysian devil is a former government servant, so he comes
in late, signs the register and goes to the canteen three times
a day."

Felda Raja Elias...

So basically...

i spent the whole of March - doing my selectives ( internal medicine in HUSM Kubang Kerian)
April was spent doing my electives which was "penternakan kambing Boer" New Zealand.. and also doing my umrah for an unknown period of time..

After returning from Umrah.. i was loafing around in Seremban kacau the people who were preparing for Sem 9 exams..

fast foward to April the 21st.. rahman had asked me whether i would be interested utk buat community project dekat2 area Kuala Pilah under the state health office punya team together with a few of us from IMU..
as at the time i didn't really have anything better to do.. so what the heck.. let's go..
little that i knew.. Felda Raja Elias.. shouldn't really be classed "around" Kuala Pilah.. it took around a 1 and a half hour drive to reach there...

when we reached Felda Raja Elias.. i found a signboard that stated.. the border of Pahang wasn't really that far away... cilakak.. punya la jauh..
tapi ikhlas kan niat *uhuk*claim*uhuk*

what a very loonggggggg journey... not to mention that we were lost..
see the imu van in the distance.. driven by abg asri..
the school.. my jawi is bad.. i think that is Sekolah Kebangsaan Serting..

didn't know that somalia and libya was that way.. ape lagi.. jomla..
for all i know it could just be pointing to the south pole..

seeing that this was around 5months ago.. i can't really recall anything much from the trip..
i just remember i was the one who had to take care of the Snellen Chart for the visual eye test
apparently the .. "nice" organizers were warning us before hand.. katanya they were expecting people in the thousands..
with all the ADUN nak datang le..
the fact that maybe it was just a few hundred people.. maybe tak sampai 200 pun..
and that we were the ones who had to force them to come for health screenings..

suprisingly.. ramai je org2 yg denial..
didn't want to believe that they were myopic...
and in the process i managed to screen one kid.. malay boy.. dalam 8-9 years old who was from one of the orphanages coming for the screening..
he had colour blindness..
SEVERE colour blindness.. if there is such a term..
he couldn't differentiate the colours when i was flipping through the Ishihara chart..

my task for the day..
beribu2 org le... we were bored...
rahman and natalia hard at work.. counselling people

they also had a few other associations doing their displays their..
i remember there were a few people from NADI i think(Diabetes association) and another from Thalassemia rasanya..

and then there was this one couple who were selling something.. they brought the thing for display.. we couldn't really believe what they were selling.. tahu le the FELDA people ramai OKB tapi this is too much.. hahaha.. this is what they were selling...

they were selling a SAUNA.. of all things...

and this are pictures of our way back.. went back at around after Zohor or maybe a bit later than that.. reach Tasek Mewah dekat2 nak masuk asar rasanya.. maybe we stopped to pray on the way back but i can't recall what happened. i just remembered that we were stuck in a jam in Kuala Pilah due to some road construction.. and that the 2 monkeys.. err friends.. were sleeping after just 5 minutes.. nasib rahman ada..

batu kikir pun ada seven eleven wa cakap lu..
batu kikir is a name of a place in between raja elias and kuala pilah..

quite.. hmmm developed?
i was bored waiting in the car.. tunggu rahman beli barang kat seven eleven..
took this picture.. don't know what they were selling..

something light for the day...

These four classified ads appeared in a Kuwaiti newspaper on four consecutive days, the last three ads desperately trying to correct the first day's mistakes.

MONDAY:
For sale - SK Shah has a sewing machine for sale.
Phone 2555-0707 after 7 PM and ask for Mrs Mani who lives with him cheap.

TUESDAY:
Notice: We regret having erred in SK Shah's ad yesterday. It should have read:

One sewing machine for sale cheap.
Phone 2555-0707 and ask for Mrs Mani, who lives with him after 7 PM.

WEDNESDAY:

Notice: SK Shah has informed us that he has received several annoying telephone calls because of the error we made in the classified ad yesterday. The ad stands correct as follows:

For sale - SK Shah has a sewing machine for sale. Cheap.
Phone 2555-0707 after 7 PM and ask for Mrs Mani who loves with him.

THURSDAY:
Notice: I, SK Shah, have no sewing machine for sale. I smashed it.
Don't call 2555-0707 as I have had the phone disconnected.
I have not been carrying on with Mrs Mani.
Until yesterday, she was my housekeeper but she quit.

Damia...

a video of an "interview" with my niece Damia , right after she returned from Kuantan today..my mother went back to melaka today to clean up the house in Masjid tanah together with tanti and my pak itam..
and my brother with his wife and damia balik kuantan using my father's car..

Kelantan Part 2.. the food.. (not ramadhan approved)

please read this after buka puasa.. if ur not fasting. .then by all means go ahead.. if you are fasting and u still want to read the post.. by all means do so.. but don't say i didn't warn you aaa...

Well... going to Kelantan.. wouldn't be complete without sampling the array of food you can find.. more or less the sweet array of foods.. you rarely find anything but sweet there...
basically the main activity there was.. going around and sampling food..
doing the selectives.. was like the minor part there..
if any of my tutors are reading this.. doing the selective was the MAJOR part and i spent a lot of time concentrating on the posting.. (fingers crossed) never does a minute pass by without me thinking of how to improve my selectives..

CPT a.k.a. Cendol Pulut Tapai.. we went to place which was somewhere in front of a school in Pengkalan Chepa... dekat2 rumah Kak Meha gak le.. i think it was one of the days in the first week when we were in Kelantan.. that we went for CPT
we went there about 2-3 times.. in the afternoon right after classes..
most of times we go there i just take Cendol Pulut je.. minus the tapai.. i'm not really a fan of tapai.. but once.. naik perangai gile.. nak try le jap.. tapai kuning.. not the one that i normally would take ( tapai and vanilla ais krim during wedding dinners)..
and the end result was.. as soon as i reached home.. terus pengsan.. i think i had a very bad headache sampai ke malam la.. no more tapai.. tapai kuning in particular..at least in the near future..

well.. the only thing i can say is.. look at the size of that.. this was in kedai Nasi Ulam in the Crafts Centre, Kota Bharu.. anytime we wanted to go for lunch dekat nasi ulam..
i think more or less we had to leave a bit early as entering KB.. would be a hassle during lunch hour. anyway.. most of the time me, annas , faiz and pakcik would go for lunch together..
maam and pak iwan.. seldom go to lunch together with us..
anyway regarding nasi ulam..
let me list out the menu that we had there.. 2 quarter chickens. the above pictured ikan keli.. lauk ikan patin, sirap 2 jag, ulam2, budu tempoyak and nasi tambah..
was brought to a grand total of .. rm30.00
cheapo.. good for us cheapskates..

even when we were on errand.. sempat lagi melantak.. we were actually out that night sebab nak beli roti.. utk dicecah dgn kuzi daging mak annas buat(which by the way... SEDAP)
anyway.. sambil2 lalu kat Pulau Melaka we stopped by the shop and had some kerang bakar and kelapa Jelly.. pakcik suka benar kelapa Jelly.. i wasn't really enamoured by it.. but okeh la kot..
air kelapa dalam bentuk jelly..

we do really go for nasi ulam quite a lot.. we would normally go to the one in KB.. but the last week.. we went to the one in Pengkalan Chepa.. could see the water towers of MRSM pengkalan chepa... nostalgia nya.. oh wait.. i'm from jasin.. lupa lak..

intermittently i do tend to open the odd book.. i was amazed and awed by the collection of books available in USM Kubang Kerian, but bearing in mind that this was a public university with a few thousand odd students.. you expect the library to be stocked well.. even with books by Steele(the love novels etc)

take a break.. take a kit kat? heck and i added more sweet things to my already sweet diet.. haha

this was a teh ais that i ordered the night me , pakcik ,and wispala went to see kodeng..
makan dkt pulai chondong gak le.. somewhere around that area.. safe to say.. this one would be one of the 'errgkhtt' drinks i've taken so far.. i think they poured the condensed milk almost separuh penuh dah... i couldn't really taste any teh or anything.. ordered another glass of plain water.. but even that wasn't enough.. in the end.. i didn't even finish the teh ais..

after..
they may have added steroids to the ikan keli's diet.. this one was humungous.. we forgot to take the 'before' picture.. baru ingat after melantak to take the 'after' picture

during one of the weekends.. we decided to go to Jeram Linang.. mandi2 sungai and everything.. i'll post pictures of that later.. but here are some post-Jeram Linang pictures in Wis Pala's house..
after a day of thrashing about in Jeram Linang.. air oren yg manis seperti biasa.. i think i should have checked my blood sugar over there.. probably would've been sky high..
notice the wallet getting thinner.. haha and kunci kereta aveo.. main mode of transport in Kelantan

ditambah lagi dengan kuih tepung pelita.. maybe i zoomed in too much.. but the kueh agak besar.. more so than the normal one you get in KL or seremban.. and just nice..
had a very bad experience during Ramadhan last year.. bought some tepung pelita's that tasted like soap.. probably washed the leaves with soap i think.. huhu

after tepung pelita and air oren.. ditambah dgn buah limau mandarin.. huhu

we were once invited over for dinner kat rumah faiz.. i recalling bertolak a bit late in the evening.. maybe dalam after asar to machang...can't really recall makan ape sgt.. i just recall 'pigging' out as usual.. probably nasi ayam.. mak faiz masak.. then we had this for dessert..

this would be the kedai nasi ulam in Pengkalan Chepa. infatuated with ikan keli.. haha

other notable places..
Kedai Abg Mie.
most of the time we would have lunch here as it would be nearer.. it's near langgar , before entering KB.. the normal menu would be nasi bungkus with freshly fried chicken.. ayam panas2.. haha.. can't remember the price.. 3 ringgit kot.. but quarter chicken la.. u could add on lauk2 lain . this would be one of the few places yg "macam pedas" sikit in relation to the other places in Kelantan.. where pedas would mean .. manis2 sikit

Kedai Nasi Kerabu in Kedai Piah..
this place would be on the way to rumah faiz.. we stopped by masa on the way to his house.. can't remember.. rasanya masa pegi Jeram Linang .. this one would be one of the nicest nasi kerabu i've taken i think.. sebab ada lagi.. daging salai yg baru dibakar...
heck i'm hypersalivating now.. lapar lak..

Rumah Annas..
makan je sepanjang masa in his house.. anytime makan .. me and pakcik would have to act as "majlis perbandaran kota bharu".. in conclusion, we never starved here..

Kedai Nasi Cikgu Lama Annas yg ada jual ikan Keli percik..
this shop would be the one nearest to Kubang Kerian (where we were based, rumah annas)
so most of time we would go here for lunch.. pakcik pun dok gile makan keli percik..

Bekwoh Pok Him..
pok Him(pronounced Hem-ada unsur2 izhar dan idgham digabungkan..)
is a family friend , my parents kenal die when they were living there masa zaman2 my father menanam tembakau as area manager in Bachok for MTC..
my late first brother was born in Kelantan but passed away at the age of 6months due to jaundice.. buried in Langgar.. sister was also born in Kelantan.. my 2nd brother in Melaka and me in Pantai Dalam..
anyway.. pok him buat bekwoh..(kerjakahwin)
and the peculiar thing about kerja kahwin in Kelantan is that.. it starts very early and ends quite late.. and they do it during working days.. which is quite foreign for people from Malacca.. we went for the bekwoh for an early lunch together, i think 11a.m. dgn Uncle Lazi(my relative staying in Kelantan)
as usual.. pig out lagi la.. and we were the first to start eating

Rumah Uncle Lazi..
Uncle Lazi.. who isn't really my uncle.. is a relative on my father's side.. from parit melana.
went to his house sekali tuh for dinner.. the element of "pedas" dah attenuated dah kot since his been staying there for quite a while.. (Kelantan i mean)

then there was once.. we went for dinner in the food court in front of USM..
me and pakcik.. had our first experience of eating belut..
annas yg kononnya org kelantan.. was apparently hmm unsure.. afraid maybe of makan belut.. ape daa.. anyway.. the belut was .. MAHAL NAK hmm GILA.. and portion sikit betul.. we were asking the guy.. cukup ke makan dua org.. apparently memang cukup if sorg makan a very small segment of the belut.. and we were charged RM12.00 for that..
but the nasik kukus sgt sedap la.. then we also have had nasi air.. kat mana tah.. lupa the name of the place.. nasi air okeh la.. but yet to find tempat yg sedap utk makan nasi air..

in conclusion.. kelantan.. was a delightful culinary affair.. which could be translated.. was a chance for us to pig out.. and we took the chance dgn gelojohnya.. haha

this is it for now.. later..

Al-Fatihah..

Nurin Jazlin , an 8 year old standard two student who disappeared a month ago when she left for the pasar malam near her home , has been confirmed through DNA tests that she was the girl which was found in a gym bag in PJS petaling utama a few days ago, we offer our condolences to the family of the late Nurin.. may they have strength to come through this ordeal insya-Allah..

sesungguhnya kita datang daripada Allah, dan daripada Allah kita akan kembali..

they have been certain quarters, parents and people pointing the finger to the parents.. and saying that they were negligent.. this maybe true.. but you have to cut some slack for the family.. no one in their right mind would allow this to happen to anyone in their family and it is impossible to expect 24-hour supervision.. they may have erred..
but the important this..
you never expect this to happen in our society in this day of age..
apathy has allowed this problem to creep in..
among the suspects are the so called Kampung Baru Molester..
a few months back they were a few other cases reported where two girsl ranging from 5-6 years old who were abducted by a man on a motorcycle.. who were asking their help to find his so called 'cat' and offered them ice cream in return..
what happened after that were that they were sexually assaulted in the same way as Nurin Jazlin was and was abandoned.. but they were found alive..

unlike Nurin who was found dead, and stuffed in gym bag in Petaling Utama..
to those who are responsible, be sure that justice will be severe.. if not in this world.. in the next world.. and Allah's retribution is unimaginable..

CCTV footage from the building where the gym bag was found.. has picked up a number of leads.. among them a suspected couple in a Perodua Kenari.. a woman was seen with a bag and leaving the building together with the male partner who was waiting in the Silver kenari..
there was also a footage of an unidentified motorcyclist.. we hope that the leads will bring the police to the suspect so that justice is meted out.. insya-Allah..

the person who did this must surely be a sicko.. but if anyone abetted the sicko.. then they are much worse..

Post-mortem results revealed that Nurin died after a brinjal and a cucumber were forced into her private parts, rupturing the intestines.

Nurin, a Standard Two pupil of SK Desa Setapak, suffered bruises to the head and cuts on the lips, signs that she had been beaten.

there has been an alarming increase in the number of brutal rape cases and crimes against children.. and yesterday a Sabah women's group called for the death sentence to be implemented for this type of cases.. click here

just today, there was a person who was convicted to 19 years of jail and 5 whips of the rotan for raping an 11 year old.. a few days back.. a brother to a disabled person.. raped a child who was their neighbour when she was at his house to take care of the disabled brother..

we've heard so much about deterrent sentences meted out to people who committed these crimes.. but is it really deterring them ? we rarely hear sentences.. and it's not really working in terms of preventing them to commit these crimes.. with all the cases that have been reported nowadays.. when anytime calls for the death penalty come out.. there would be a whole lot of NGO's and individuals plus foreigners who say that the death penalty is a violation of a human rights , we should give them a second chance, he was not of his right mind etc

"Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, diwajibkan kamu menjalankan hukuman qisas (balasan yang seimbang) dalam perkara orang-orang yang mati dibunuh." (Al-Baqarah :178)

well i put to you this question
what about the victims whose human rights has severely been violated..
the perpetrators have forfeit their human rights when they violated the human rights of others..
do the victims get a second chance?
who is going to make up for the loss of the family?
what would you feel if this happened to someone dear to you? you would scream for bloody murder of the persons responsible no doubt..
and lastly.. you need a sentence that is going to be a REAL deterrent to others.. maybe once awhile we should publicise and telecast the sentences being carried out.. the whipping, the hanging then only maybe we can deter these lunatics..

qisas..
to the person who committed the murder and the inhumane acts on Nurin Jazlin..
when anyone catches him.. we should shove a bagful of cucumbers , and brinjals up his emm.. alimentary tract.. before we stuff him/her into a gym bag..
and then we have justice..

sure then some "bigshot country" from across the seas.. would protest this 'violation' of someone's human rights.. but we really should look into the criminal statistics of that bigshot country where the brave and free live..
last time i checked they had the highest number of criminal cases in the world.. look up the statistics..

malaysia also spends too much money on our prisoners .. did you know that we spend RM 1.2 million a day for upkeep of our prisons per year and

Bernama

rm 500,00 is spent on "warganegara asing"
and we spend this much on our drug addicts..

(Sumber Berita Harian)

in total we spend rm 647 million per year on the outcasts of our society..
undeniably some do come out from the prisons and serentis rehabilitated with a sense of purpose and motivation to start over..
but we also have some very dodgy characters too..
we either should look into the prison system .. whether it's really achieving the goal or are we just going to produce repeat offenders who are not reluctant the flout the law or even violate it..
or think of sentences that can really deter people from committing crimes against society and themselves(drug addicts)

you wouldn't really want to work hard and in the end pay taxes to keep this lot cozy and comfy in the prisons..

p/s: Al-Fatihah buat Nurin Jazlin and also the others who have been a victim of these senseless crimes.. may Allah bring the people responsible to justice as soon as possible.. insya-Allah(God Willing)

Ramadhan....

assalamualaikum..

i have to apologise for not being able to update the blog in the past week.. with the arrival of ramadhan and a few events that happened last week.. i was knackered and wasn't up to putting up any new posts.. maybe when i've recovered sufficiently , i'll provide and account of what happened last week..

i digress and would like to bring the main point of this post.. which is to celebrate the arrival of Ramdhan Al-Mubarak..
bulan penuh keberkatan daripada Maha Pencipta..
i urge readers , reading this post.. to take advantage of this blessed month, and as a preparation for the coming months..
it is said that Ramadhan is a Madrassah where you prepare yourself for the other months..
Ramadhan is where you try and do as much good and beribadat etc.. and the main point is that it catches on during the other months in the year..
it defeats the purpose of you.. doing all the good things in Ramadhan, and eventually.. returning to doing our misdeeds in the other months.. so here's to wishing everyone a good and prosperous ramadhan.. and JANGAN INGAT NAK RAYA JE..
it was said that the Sahabat2 Nabi S.A.W. would mourn the passing of ramadhan and eager for it to arrive again..
it is said
which is quite paradoxical to what happens here.. i don't think i'm going to tune in to radios this year.. last year , even before puasa they started playing the raya songs.. aiyohhh bruder..
selamat menyambut ramadhan.. and selamat berpuasa...

Harapan Ramadhan

Ku mengharapkan Ramadhan
Kali ini penuh makna
Agar dapat kulalui
Dengan sempurna

Selangkah demi selangkah
Setahun sudah pun berlalu
Masa yang pantas berlalu
Hingga tak terasa ku berada
Di bulan Ramadhan semula

Puasa satu amalan
Sebagaimana yang diperintahNya
Moga dapat ku lenturkan
Nafsu yang selalu membelenggu diri
Tiada henti-henti

Tak ingin ku biarkan Ramadhan berlalu saja
Tuhan pimpinlah daku yang lemah
Mengharungi segalanya dengan sabar
Kita memohon pada Tuhan diberikan kekuatan
Ku merayu pada Tuhan diterima amalan

Selangkah demi selangkah...
Dengan rahmatMu oh Tuhanku...
Ku tempuh jua

an excerpt from an article..

Salty story of the day...

'A McDonald's employee spent a night in jail and is facing criminal charges because a police officer's burger was too salty - so salty, he says, that it made him sick. Kendra Bull was arrested on Friday, charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and freed on $1 000 bail. Bull, 20, said she accidentally spilled salt on hamburger meat and told her supervisor and a co-worker, who "tried to thump the salt off"...City public information officer George Louth said Bull was charged because she served the burger "without regards to the well-being of anyone who might consume it" - Associated Press.

apparently the employee.. tried a burger made from the same salty burger meat during break and it didn't make her sick.. she also raised up a very good point..
if at the first bite , the cop felt it was a bit too salty.. why did he even finish the burger..

imagine..

Cop taking the first bite of the burger..
thinks to himself..
hmm a bit too salty...
maybe another bite.. who cares about my hypertension...
hmm still a bit too salty.. maybe it's just this side of the burger..
let me try the other side..
hmmm still salty..
heck.. my vision is a bit blur now..
maybe the other parts would be a bit less salty..
another bite wouldn't hurt..
eh.. i've finished the burger?
God.. i feel sick now..
i'm just too lazy to get up and change the burgers..
let me just make a report and put the mcdonald's girl in prison..

apparently the cop took 8 bites of the burger..
for full details of the stupido story...

p/s: i don't think eating this burger really promotes health of any kind..

El Stupido of the Day..

the 'cleverness' of our friends from the other side of the globe.. does not cease to suprise and shock us...

a GOP presidential candidate Tom Tancredo created a lot of buzz in 2005 for saying that the United States should consider bombing Muslim holy sites if the US was attacked with nuclear weapons:

“Well, what if you said something like - if this happens in the United States, and we determine that it is the result of extremist, fundamentalist Muslims, you know, you could take out their holy sites,” Tancredo answered.

When the media brought the issue up again a few days ago, Tancredo went even further:

“If it is up to me, we are going to explain that an attack on this homeland of that nature would be followed by an attack on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina,” the GOP presidential candidate said. “That is the only thing I can think of that might deter somebody from doing what they would otherwise do. If I am wrong fine, tell me, and I would be happy to do something else. But you had better find a deterrent or you will find an attack. There is no other way around it. There have to be negative consequences for the actions they take. That’s the most negative I can think of.”

Problem: Mecca and Medina are holy sites not only for Muslim extremists, but for all Muslims. The worldwide Muslim population is approximately 1.61 billion. Does Tancredo really feel like creating one billion more US enemies with one click of the button?

Tom Casey, a deputy spokesman for the State Department, told CNN’s Elise Labott that the congressman’s comments were “reprehensible” and “absolutely crazy.”

But his subordinates had this to say..

This shows that we mean business,” said Bay Buchanan, a senior Tancredo adviser. “There’s no more effective deterrent than that. But he is open-minded and willing to embrace other options. This is just a means to deter them from attacking us.”

and these are the people who claim to be the proponent of free speech , freedom , justice and democracy...
what a load of garbage..

those were the days...

on the 14 th of February, the wednesday after osce exams, me ,hanisyam , pakcik , huda and faya went back to mrsm jasin.. biasa le.. anak2 didik mrsm jasin.. i was the one driving then, it was a long time since i last went to jasin.. can't even recall the last visit.. maybe when i was in bukit jalil.. that was with zaizul and pakcik gak kot...

i recall the old road that we usually used to reach jasin.. we would go out at ayer keroh, pass by seri negeri, and just follow the sign board to jasin.. apparently they've built any exit which comes out directly to jasin.. but wasn't really sure about that.. just found out that it exited near simpang kerayong.. which was from the tangkak side of mrsm jasin.. just foound out recently..

well, the first stop as usual would be the teacher's office.. the first one i met was Cikgu Rae and Cikgu Noreen.. my Biology and Chemistry teacher last time around.. then seperti biasa wajib mencari Puan Maimunah.. she being my homeroom teacher last time around in jasin..
Met Cikgu Amin my BM teacher.. didn't manage to find my BI teacher tough..
i was also dragged into the Head of Department for social science as she wanted to inquire about medical courses for her children who was interested in doing medicine.. i was stuck there for quite a while , and at the same time both Puan Anizah ( Mat Tam teacher) and Cikgu Rae was calling nak belanja lunch.. huhu. selepas habis borak2.. was on the way to the canteen.. met again Cikgu Amin yg nak belanja makan.. in short semua org dok nak borak le.. should have came earlier.. we reached there around lunch time and there wasn't really enough time to see all the teachers..
well here are some pictures..

pictures in front of D. Burn(aptly named as the infamous batch of '92 tried to set it on fire.. u could see some burn marks on the ceiling during my time.. not sure about now..)
we managed to get a student to take the picture for us.. he was loitering about there.. and funnily enough he didn't notice that he had a hole in his pants the size of singapore.. maybe seremban..

the teacher's block

this is where i set a thunder bomb(mercun) last time after spm.. it was me and zaizul.. haha bagus le.. sorng Ketua Biro Rondaan dan Kawalan and lagi sorg EXCO Badar dok main mercun..
after setting it off.. we were moving away from the crime scene.. went some staff saw us and gave chase.. i dun't think we've ever ran so hard..

that night we also set off another one on the basketball field after getting chased around by Abg Rohaizat( who is in MARA headquarters now)
he was making his rounds in the Form 5 academic blocks and did chase some of us with his motorbike. hampeh tul..
we decided to go deeper to the field to escape him.. and thinking that he gave up.. we set off another mercun at the field.. suddenly after lighting one up in a plastic bottle.. about 20metres from us there was a flickering of a torchlight..
we ran for it.. there was me,zakuan(EXCO rondaan Badar),baras(pres LDP), zaizul, ameer, mawardi and bal saidi... i think me and zakuan made a run for the field and jumped from the basketball field down into the rugby field.. into overgrown lalang.. aa tajam tul..everyone went separate ways and went in pairs.. wasn't advisable to go it alone near the field..
we've encountered a lot of strange things before.. i remember hearing footsteps near the academic blocks when doing my rounds with pok nik.. we chase after the footsteps then suddenly the footsteps were behind us.. made a run for it again.. haha

also remember hearing furniture moving a lot at 2am at the form 4 block.. itu tanda2 utk pegi balik and jangan ngada2 nak ronda..

the same night yg kitaorang main mercun tuh.. ustaz rasdi did a roll call..
semua org dah gelabah dah and everyone was adamant if he asked we would just all confess as i think my group made the most amount of noise that night..
but he just said..

Ustaz Rasdi : "Saya tahu le Yang Dipertuan Agong baru mangkat, tapi kamu takyahlah susah2 nak ambik alih tugas penembak meriam.. kalu nak main pun jauh2 la.. anak saya nak tidur.."
that more or less amounted to a green light.. spent the rest of the night doing a barbecue kat ATM Giro..
a group of 20 form 5's that night kantoi fly when the walked in the front gate.. not knowing that Ustaz Rasdi and Ustaz Akmal @Cikun was joining our BBQ in front of the Bank Giro.. sia2 je ada yg kena push up.. haha

we also went and saw Puan Mahibbah, my old club advisor masa 2001, Kelab Hidroponik.. haha she was asking whether we would be interested to give talks to form 5's who were interested in doing medicine.. felt old suddenly..

after leaving mrsm jasin.. went to bukit katil to see Cik Hajah Zaherah, my old Cikgu Pakar Sejarah who recently retired. she was home alone and just sustained a colle's fracture of the left hand.. we spent quite a while there as she went through quite a lot of gossip about mrsm jasin..

those were the days...

that's it for now.. later. insya-Allah..
