The meaning of courtesy as written on the internet... it's a simple word.. but it's very hard to comprehend.. in regards to our malaysian population...

- Story 1
- Me and Faya was sitting at the cafe waiting for our waffles when we were still taggers ( that seems so far away. When we sat down, we saw that there was food on the table but as there's only 2 tables.. we just pulled up a chair leaving another chair empty there for anyone who was going to sit there. Lo and behold.. a bloke comes up.. carrying his tupperware of Yong Tau Foo..
" Doktor !! doktor nak makan lagi ke .. saya duduk kat sini.. saya pergi microwave makanan je.. kalau doktor tak makan saya nak duduk "
-Let me tell you, i was restraining myself as hard as possible trying not to lash out at this idiot.. Malays with their so called good manners... Is it so hard to actually ask nicely and also the fact there's another chair lying around there..

Story 2
- Looking for a book
-Well recently we've been on a quest for books.. two books.. so we were asking around.. apparently this book was a bestseller and was currently out of stock.. We were at a 'popular' bookstore.. and we asked the salesgirl whether they had the book.. Unluckily it was out of stock.. and when enquired when do they plan to restock.. she had this to answer.. " bila2 nak restock la "..
let me say this.. when you're in a service field.. please act like you're actually giving service...
minus the attitude please..

Story 3
-it's been 3 months and me and faya are yet to receive our pay.. well you can always say that i can afford to without pay, it's normal for government servants to receive late pay.. etc2..
this is not a rant or anything.. but try living in our shoes.. you work for 2 months going into 3 months.. you check you account takda gaji.. you go and ask.. people just simply brush you off and say next month.. and it irks you more when you see them sitting around doing nothing sometimes.. or maybe they were too busy.. only God knows..
haha my sister was busy asking me to bring them to Labour Court.. apparently it is actually an offense( Labour Court wise) to issue late pay.. hmm maybe that's carrying it a bit too far.. i'll be known as Dr. Labour Court

when we did our induction the same thing also happened for our posting letters.. the thing was ready by Thursday and should have been sent out on Friday.. but the officer in charge said.. i will come to office and fax it on Saturday.. i'm not sure why Saturday but let me hazard a guess--> overtime
it's weird.. you're avoiding the job that you're supposed to do.. and trying to find opportunities to milk more money out of it.. that is breach of trust.. the mufti of N9 once said to us.. a person who does his ibadah ( i.e pray,zikir, reciting the Quran etc) during his worktime is in a state of Syirik as he is not carrying out the responsibility placed upon him/her.
Apart from these experiences there are numerous other examples of people who do not have any inkling of what courtesy is about..
it's easy- how are you? may i help you? thank you ? do you want fries with that(haha)? you're welcome, acknowledging or appreciating help given. compromising.. a friendly smile.it's easy but at the same time it's hard..

It speaks volume about the kind of society we live in.. haha i remember my parents especially my father drilling me about saying thank you every time.. he would stand by and watch and see whether i said thank you for any service or help rendered..

Well nowadays.. i have very low expectations of people.. i've learnt that the lower the expectations the more pleasant it will be when someone actually reciprocates..
I always get a high ( my courtesy fix) when a patient says thank you or demonstrate their gratitude . Haha if they give a secret recipe cake- that's a major bonus.. because in the end everything i do is for Allah..

In conclusion, a bit of courtesy goes a long way..
haha i'm glad i got that out of the system..

Manga --> the thing that makes my world go round...

hahaha a lot of things makes my world go round but manga has been constantly there...

i read a lot of comics either from HK or Japan and some from Korea..
i don't really follow Marvel or DC comics as it's more of a graphic comic.. i don't really gawk about the pictures as i think storylines are a bit more important...

Saying this.. i've been phasing out all the HK comics...
the only HK comic i'm still reading is wira tunggal.. and even that is on the verge of ending.. hopefully.. i could use the extra 3.50 i save every week for buying it...

1) One Piece ( Pirates)
--> Strawhat Luffy and the Strawhat Pirates taking on the world government
--> a very very very good manga to read.. one of the ones that u have to read them all again and again
2) Naruto ( Ninja)
--> well.. it's about naruto becoming a ninja..
--> has been improving for the past few months..
3) Bleach ( Soul reapers)
--> Ichigo Kurosaki becoming a soul reaper.. haha..
--> has been stagnant for the past few months. thus explaining why Naruto is higher
4)Fairy Tail ( wizards)
--> Natsu becoming a wizard..
--> relatively new...
5)Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro ( Daemon)
--> Neuro Nougami using Katsuragi Yako in his quest for the ultimate puzzle
--> oddly interesting.. eccentric and funny.
6)Death Note
--> the fight between Light Yagami and L & N
--> a cult hit.. one of the more mind challenging ones
7) Dragon Ball --> the one which kickstarted my love of manga--
Son Goku and Bezita fighting it out...
8) Crayon Shin Chan
--> the drawing may be crappy but the writer is a genious in antrophrological observations of the community... and also a bit of a pervert...

- i can't decide which i like more...

haha so.. i'll put my hobbies as reading.. esp manga and ditch the mengumpul setem and duit syilling hobbies.. seriously.. who came up with stamp collecting... ( haha yours truly collected stamps during his younger days -- all the pent up hostility against stamps) .
