Sushi... and random facts about me and Japan..

well.. this is a serving of sushi i bought last monday..
after watching pirates of the caribbean.. tak tahu nak dinner ape.. so i bought this for rm8.90(not including tax and wasabi)
well.. i actually have a soft spot for sushi.. but it's quite hard to find yg sedap punya..
i found this set kat jusco..
previously in BJ pernah le try jugak sushi yg carrefour jual, but it was very disappointing(in my opinion)
i very rarely take sushi actually.. selalu makan once a year.. masa bulan puasa..
we'd go to a place utk buffet buka puasa.. and it has the nicest sushi there..(my opinion lagi)
haha..

anyway.. the set that i took kat jusco .. was not bad.. passable to say the least..
i love the part where u dip the sushi with .. a mix of soy sauce and wasabi..
pedas at first.. but tak sesia le nama pun org melaka...
but one tip.. if u want to look for sushi kat shopping complexes .. go early le.. at least it's a bit fresher and more choices...

random facts about me and Japan : even though indirectly related..

• i'm enamoured by the culture.. even though they were the people who invaded malaya and slaughtered quite a few of us.. i believe in concentrating more on the good points they have.
• i'm a sucker for samurai,ninja movies ( unless it's produced by Hollywood.. etc. American Ninja which is quite a lame)
• during standard 3-5 i studied japanese language.. can't really recall learning anything except from

• I remember singing a lot masa Japanese language class.. i think most of us didn't know what we were singing.. for all we knew.. we could have been singing a song calling for the slaughter of everyone except for the Japs or maybe farm animals, patriotic songs etc( you get the idea)..
• still remember my instructor.. was a very elderly, small built man with small slit eyes.. he would not stop bowing to everyone and most of the time i didn't understand what he said.. can't even remember his name ( darn..)
• we could learn a lot about courtesy , respect, cleanliness from the Japanese.. we should stop at the point where you behead people and everything.. quite a contrast to our culture.. in certain aspects..
  
• i currently read a lot of Japanese comics.. starting with Doraemon, Dragon Ball, One Piece , Naruto etc..
• i currently listen to quite a lot of Japanese songs.. even though i don't understand what they say.. (sounds familiar?)

An emotional reaction...

haha.. after having a week to reconsider the events of last week..
i concede that maybe i did over react to the loss by liverpool.. although i do stand by my points..

going back to the game..
to give credit where it is due..
Liverpool played well..
tactically sound due to the managers shrewdness
just lacked the cutting edge at the end..
we were unlucky to lose..
but even then it was not humiliating or degrading.. as they did their best
and that is all that i expected from the players and the team..
to wear their heart and guts on their sleeves...
it is a proud moment to be a Red..

as Steven Gerrard would say..
2 finals in 3 years..
not bad for a 'small club'

so ends the football season and now we can look forward to silly season where all players would be linked to all teams.. with various amounts of silly money..
keeping my fingers crossed..
hope we get some good players over the summer....

I've started psychiatry on monday..
we had a briefing in the morning.. then ward work...
we went to the ward.. i clerked a patient for around 3 hours..
haha supposedly i should have went in the afternoon to..
but then what would have been the point.. dah abis clerking..
so my posting group.. decided to go for a movie then
went to see Pirates of the Caribbean at world's end..
i've been wanting to see it since last week.. but did not have the chance to do so
due to multiple factors.. chiefly due to the fact yg takda tiket and takda mangsa to drag along..
i was supposed to watch it with my brother... but he was down with viral fever.. so that was out of the question..

i went back on friday night last week.. as i was needed at home..
almost everyone at home had conjuctivitis..
my father's eyes wore swollen..
my mother was recovering..
ain just recovered
and damia's eyes were bloodshot.. probably subconjunctival hemorrhage and she also had conjunctivitis..
my sister and sister in law were well..
a bit odd..
anwyay.. i went back to seremban on saturday.. due to the fact that i was going to start a new posting.. and didn't want to get infected.. dah rasa gatal2 mata dah.. haha
maybe that was due to sleep deprivation..

on saturday night.. went out with KakDijaDellMiha , K.DijaDell were here for a wedding reception.. so went out to A&W that nite..
i vividly recall a few stories that came out that nite..
basically dok err let's say.. "bercerita pasal org"
we also managed to ruin kak miha's diet.. she was counting all the calories.. but alas..
we managed in our efforts to corrupt her..
haha the next morning lagi le.. went to mcdonalds for breakfast..
then did nothing for the rest of the day..

so let's now return to the topic regarding the movie..
well.. i've been anticipating the movie for quite a while..
and in my judgement.. it didn't disappoint me at all..
some did say it was more confusing.. less humorous and a bit sad..
well for me it was a fitting end to the trilogy..
haha most likely i'll be watching the movie again.. just for the fun of it.
when i watched it on monday.. i went with Kiddy,Toba and Kak Fir..
they bought the 4pm ticket..
i didn't count on the cinema being that cold.. and more so i had a coke..
aaahhh had to go to the toilet and the same time for asar prayers..
so basically i missed a part of the movie(trying to justify seeing the movie again)
it was a good pirate movie.. the last pirate movie i recall watching is Hook rasanya.. the one with Robbin Williams in tights berlakon jadi peter pan..

last time round.. for pirates of the Caribbean 2.. i remember watching it twice..
first one when i went with my housemates on the first day it came out..
the second time was with lydia.nina, the last movie i watched with them before they went off for indonesia.. the last time kena pau.. Basically, for movies.. i would normally watch it with either my housemates or geng lydia.nina.didi.. it's dependent on who is available.. and the fact that two of my housemates are now doing their electives in malacca.. and lydia.nina are in indonesia.. so basically tangkap muat la.. haha
we do what we have to do..

well shrek 3 is also coming out.. not sure i'm going with who.. maybe ajak my sister kot.. she seems to be interested.. we'll see..
haha i should be studying psychiatry and not thinking of movies only..

The blunder of benitez.... it leaves a bitter taste..

Well the game was a snore-fest and i was reading my general practice textbook throughout..
i did mention my apprehensiveness of playing with a 4-5-1 formation..
inzaghi was at his poacher best.. for me.. alonso should not have started the game.. did not warrant the place in current form.. and his contribution was very minimal..
liverpool should have at least played with 2 strikers.. any combination would have work..
milan were too slow.. they were not powerful in the air.. they were sloppy.. the game was there for the kill.. it was apparent from the start. but the manager.. could not see this.. or choose not to see this.. liverpool were playing like there were leading the game 3-0 and was on a stroll..
they looked tired, most looked unmotivated..
my ratings for the team( out of 10)

reina - 6/10 wasn't in the game that much.. unlucky with the goals.. no significant contribution.. solid as usual.. can't be faulted
carragher- 6/10 did his best.. made one or two mistakes but made up for it
agger - 4/10 caught ball watching a number of times.. very reckless at times..
riise - 5/10 did nothing much.. he should stop having the urges to shoot any time he gets the ball.. he should learn that there is something called passing the ball
finnan- 6/10 reliable as usual.. contributed as much as he could.. didn't combine that well with pennant
zenden-6/10 some may disagree with the rating.. he is not that good ability wise. but no one can fault him for the desire he showed.. something lacking in certain players..
alonso-4/10 should not have started.. gave away the free kick for milan's first goal which was very stupid.. but typical of him. reckless idiot who gives the ball away too often.. didn't cover the defence for the second goal.. either him or gerrard should have mopped up..
mascherano - 7/10 .. winning the battles against gattuso in the middle of park.. pity benitez sacrificed him to put in crouch
pennant- 6/10 did his best.. just couldn't find his range of crossing.. sloppy in possession..
gerrard- 6/10 looked jaded.. was doing his best.. but didn't live up to his talismanic status.. this can also be attributed to the fact that he didn't have much support.
kuyt-6/10 did okay considering that he played as a lone striker.. nothing to shout about..

kewell and crouch did well when they came on..

herbert fandel the referee - another idiot with a whistle.. didn't let the game flow.. too many fouls given for so called aerial fouls.. scandalous at times.. too happy to blow his whistle at times..
yes he may have blew the whistle too early... but it's just 30 seconds.. don't be that daft..

milan - sloppy throughout the game.. kaka , ambrosini ,pirlo were very graceful in their diving attempts.. it's just too annoying at times.. also inzaghi with the burst appendix expression.. someone should burst his appendix for real.. would be fun to watch.. you wouldn't know whether it was real or he was just pulling your leg..

the game overall - snore fest.. nuff said..

rafa is a master tactician.. but the only thing i have against this.. is that he's too calculating at times.. he doesn't really admit that he's made a mistake.. he's just too cautious.. he takes 75 minutes to bring on another striker in the form of peter crouch.. if it were me i would have alredy put on 3 strikers by that time.... it paid dividends.. but it was too late.. what a sea monkey....aaarrgghhhhh.... and the thing that incensed me more.. was the fact that he complained liverpool was robbed of 30 seconds of stoppage time...

YOU HAD 30 MINUTES TO CHANGE THE GAME and YOU ARE MAKING A FUSS ABOUT 30 SECONDS.. ARE YOU RETARDED?? ARE YOU DAFT?? EL STUPIDO.. GO POKE YOUR HEAD INTO THE SAND OR SOMETHING... have some balls..(if benitez is reading this)

losing is not really that bad.. i feel bitter just because that liverpool didn't give their all.. they didn't attack.. they wanted milan to roll the ball in front of goal for them to score..
are we that daft?
losing is made less bitter when you do your best..

It is a final for God's sake... throw caution into the wind.. who cares if we lose.. as long as you go down with all guns blazing..

but in the end.. this is the plan of Allah.. it goes as how he has decreed..
the wheel has turned full circle for both liverpool and AC Milan..
in 2005..milan were the better team.. but liverpool won
this year.. liverpool were the better team. but milan won..

checked the formation that rafa is using tonite playing 4-5-1.. a
pparently we are playing with a lone striker.. trying to crowd out the milan midfield..
hmm not sure bout that.. maybe gerrard is set for a forward role..
